Welcome to the new newsletter for Chuck Eats KC, a blog about Kansas City restaurants and food. If you aren’t familiar with my blog, check it out here. This newsletter will provide extra news, opinion, reviews, resources, and information not found on the blog. Frequency at this point is to be determined. Weekly is the immediate goal.

My blog had a surprisingly good launch year in 2019, with plenty of visitors. It felt like it was filling a big need in Kansas City for an independent, non-corporate take on local restaurants and food. In January 2020, the blog published a comprehensive guide to vegetarian and vegan dining across the city. Then the pandemic hit, shutting down restaurants, changing eating habits, and forcing me to put the blog on hiatus.

With restaurants moving back to modified operations with more people being able to dine-in, folks are once again looking for advice on where to eat! While I personally cannot dine at restaurants for the foreseeable future, I am planning to figure out a way to continue reviewing restaurants and their food, possibly with some help from friends. I won’t be able to photograph the interiors of restaurants or food in restaurants, but I will try to do the food justice in my reviews.
